NJ ING’s vision is a world in which people of all religious backgrounds are understood and respected and have their contributions valued.
Mission
NJ ING’s mission is to promote interreligious understanding, tolerance, and harmony through dialogue and religious literacy. NJ-ING achieves its mission by providing informative presentations and panel discussion that supplement existing curriculum and cultural diversity programs in public institutions and by offering cultural competency training in schools and hospitals. These educational programs develop a greater awareness and knowledge of Islam and other major world religions and thus improve the quality of life for Muslims and people of other religious backgrounds.
NJ ING reinforces and promotes the American ideals of tolerance and religious freedom that are enshrined in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution by helping build more peaceful and accepting communities in which people of different backgrounds come to know and respect each other.
