Responses from teachers (K-12) after attending 101 Islam Training Workshops:
– I learned a lot about what Muslim students may need to do, or may feel uncomfortable with in school.
– I appreciate the honesty and clear presentation of facts rather than emotional experiences.
– I realized how similar different faiths are! Excellent informative speakers, thank you for sharing your awesome religion/culture.
– I learned the distinction between what is actually put of the religion and what is social/culture.
– This was all enlightening, I didn’t know most of this.
– Honest open talk, I felt comfortable asking questions and “not knowing”. This should be presented to our whole faculty.
– I understand now how to refer to the teachings in conversations with my Muslim students. Also the pictures in the presentation were very helpful. Speakers are wonderfully knowledgeable and approachable.
– I appreciated your discussion of beliefs & debunking stereotypes. ISIS is politically driven. I will share with my students.
– The speakers were very informed and addressed all the questions of the audience. It was informative to see the different type of Muslims & address misconceptions.
– Presenters were excellent – their styles & experiences. Focus on common misconceptions was highly beneficial.
– Thank you to the New Jersey Islamic Networks Group for presenting to Cliffside Park School 6 and MS students about “American Muslims and their Faith.” We can’t wait to have you back!
– Thank you for visiting our school and presenting to the students. It was a great compliment to our history course and much appreciated.
– The program “A History of Muslims in America” that the speaker presented at our library was well done and informative and our Patrons (we had 10) enjoyed it.
